Benalmadena Famiy Trip Along Costa Del Sol
Some of the places that we always consider as picturesque and very nice are the regions that form the so-called Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun). Where many of them hide their Andalusian charm and have been able to nobly avoid the hasty development that has wrapped the Iberian peninsula up in the last decades.
One of those regions, I would like to mention, is Benalmdena, a town that has become more pronounced at 300 meters on the sea level, where we can see its beautiful houses dressed in white, which should enchant the visitor and multiple lookouts placed in several stretches of its coastal geography, where we can obtain an unforgettable view of the sea and the whole Costa del Sol as well.
This place was the one we have chosen to take a familiar short trip this weekend, by making the most of an escape from the city, in a calm and perfect beauty space for everybody.
Its small dark-sand beaches are extremely close, approximately 20 kilometers long, though they show few similarities between themselves, there are more urbanized ones and the ones called little savages, although there are always some exceptions since it is possible to go to certain spas where rocks and gravels stand out.
They all had seemed very nice to us, but when we choose one in order to enjoy the sun and the sea, what made us decide was the beach of Viborillas where we find here a space for us who love the naturism. And then we use rent car in spain service and continue our trip
Although it was not the only thing that we could do during these two days, since we decide to split into two groups, the first one constituted by our children who wanted to do outdoor activities, especially hiking, taking some of the routes towards the Calamorro Mount, and culminating to the top.
And the group number two, formed by the parents, that had preferred to walk along this city, as well as to visit the Pre-Columbian Art museum where we could enjoy several works of art of the American continent and a room entirely devoted to the local archaeological discoveries in different establishments of the area.
Also, during our walks we got to the Castle of Colomares, The extremely beautiful church of Santo Domingo de Guzmn and the fabulous Buddhist Estupa(a monument which represents peace, prosperity and harmony) also called as the Enlightment Stupa, standing 33 meters high and its top ends crowned by a golden cone that can be looked from everywhere.
In this place of peace, devoted to guided meditation, some works of art are also exhibited, and on sale, some paintings and statues made by artists from Nepal and the Tibet.
And also during our walks along the narrow streets and cobbles of this city, we could not miss the choice of tasting typical dishes made of fish and typical seafood of the well-known Mediterranean cuisine. Although there are some other restaurants where local meats star in.
This nice and original destination left a good taste in our memory, because we spent two days of unique calmness and enjoyment. That will remain forever in our memory, and those memories will arise again, once we decide visit that spellbinding place.
